Promoting democracy topic for David M. Kennedy Center lecture April 11

The Brigham Young University David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies will host Gerald F. Hyman as he discusses “U.S. Democracy Promotion: Cultural Imperialism?” Wednesday, April 11, at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.

Hyman, senior adviser and president of the Hills Program on Governance, provides assistance to the Hills-affiliated network of centers in Asia, Latin America, and Africa and conducts research on democracy and governance.

Previously, he served as director of the Office of Democracy and Governance at the U.S. Agency for International Development and practiced law in Washington, D.C., with Covington & Burling.
