President Cecil O. Samuelson, Sharon Samuelson to address students Jan. 6

Brigham Young University President Cecil O. Samuelson and his wife Sharon will greet the campus community during a back-to-school devotional Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 11:05 a.m in the Marriott Center.

President Samuelson was named BYU's 12th president in 2003. He is a member of the Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.The forumer senior vice president of Intermountain Health Care and dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Utah, he is the author or co-author of 48 original publications.

Sharon Giauque Samuelson graduated from the University of Utah with honors in history. She has held leadership positions in all of the auxiliary organizations of the Church while being active in the community.
