Popular "Celebration of Christmas" at BYU Dec. 5-6

The Brigham Young University School of Music presents "Celebration of Christmas" Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5-6, in the de Jong Concert Hall. A matinee performance will be given Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m.

Tickets at $9 and $3 off with a BYU or student ID are available through the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 378-4322 or at www.byu.edu/hfac.

The concert will feature the BYU audition choirs, including the BYU Singers, Concert Choir, Women's Chorus and Men's Chorus as well as the Philharmonic Orchestra.

The choirs will perform favorites such as "Angels We Have Heard on High," "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," "Silent Night" and selections from Handel's "Messiah."

The University Singers will be under the direction of Ronald Staheli. Rosalind Hall will conduct the Concert Choir and Men's Chorus. The Women's Chorus will be under the direction of Vicki McMurray, and the Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Kory Katseanes.
