Popular BYU Dancesport Championships Nov. 11-12 at Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom

Brigham Young University will host the 2005 BYU Dancesport Championships, featuring nightly performances by U.S. professional Latin American finalists Paul Richardson and Olga Radionva, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11-12, in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom.

The competition is divided into four sessions beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Tickets may be purchased at the door or by contacting the Fine Arts Ticket Office at (801) 422-7664. General admission costs $10 or $18 for both nights, reserved seats are $12 or $22 for both nights and table seats cost $16 or $30 for both nights.

BYU students may purchase tickets for $7 or $12 for both nights, but must buy their tickets at the Fine Arts Ticket Office prior to the event. Students will also be required to present their BYU ID when purchasing as well as when they enter the ballroom to attend the event.

The BYU Dancesport Championships has quickly become one of the largest amateur ballroom dance competitions in the United States. The friendly competition for students and non-students offers a variety of dance levels for all ages, ranging from beginning to advanced.

Dance styles presented will include standard ballroom, Latin and country western, among others.
