Dennis Packard, a professor of philosophy at Brigham Young University, will speak at a campus devotional Tuesday, May 11, at 11:05 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall on the BYU campus.
The devotional will be broadcast live on KBYU-TV (Channel 11), KBYU-FM (89.1), the BYU-Television and BYU-Radio satellite networks and on byubroadcasting.org.
It will be rebroadcast Sunday, May 16, on BYU-Radio at 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. It will also be rebroadcast Sunday, May 23, on KBYU-TV at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m., on BYU-Television at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on KBYU-FM at 8 p.m.
Packard is the author of more than 35 journal articles and books. He serves as an editorial consultant for American Philosophical Quarterly.
Packard served as chair of the BYU Department of Philosophy from 1983 to 1989.
He earned a bachelor's degree and a doctoral degree from Stanford University, as well as a doctorate from BYU.
