Peruvian ambassador to U.S. visits BYU for lecture Feb. 17

Eduardo Ferrero Costa, Peruvian ambassador to the United States, will discuss "Peru-U.S. Relations" Thursday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. in 250 Spencer W. Kimball Tower at Brigham Young University.

Before his appointment March 31, 2004, Costa served as ambassador and permanent representative to the Organization of American States from 2001 to 2004. He has also served as Peru's minister of foreign affairs from 1999 to 2001 and was vice president of the United Nations' Committee Against Racial Discrimination from 1988 to 2000.

In addition, Costa has worked as a member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris and as an adviser to the Andean community.
