Patriotism abroad to be topic for field studies lecture Sept. 29

Students can learn about patriotism at home and abroad at an International Field Studies Lecture on Friday, Sept. 29, at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building at Brigham Young University.

Enoch Lambert, a BYU alumnus, will speak on “Patriotism in Another Land: Passage between Provo, India and Ithaca.”

After completing a bachelor’s degree in philosophy at BYU, during which his research was focused on philosophy of mind, Lambert began an MPA at the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs, where he focused on international development.

In the summer of 2003, he traveled to India for a field study program researching trends in agriculture among Tibetan refugee settlements. He returned in January 2006 to conduct further study on the state of India’s agriculture.
