Parents' Weekend keeps parents and students busy

The cheer squad of 1975 will dust off and, in some cases, squeeze into their old uniforms to lead the student body in a spirited pep rally before the BYU/UNLV football game Friday (Oct. 8).

It's part of Parents' Weekend, a three-day event that invites parents of BYU students to share the campus experience (including tests) with their sons and daughters.

Joining the cheerleaders from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday will be the Break Dance Club and Cosmo. This free party will be in Lee Lane, near the Wilkinson Student Center, and participants will have a chance to win BYU apparel and prizes. Parents and students will help dunk the UNLV Runnin' Rebels mascot at the rally, and then follow Cosmo to LaVell Edwards stadium for the 8 p.m. game.
