Panel at BYU to discuss wind power Dec. 1

Cougars for Clean Power and EcoResponse will host a clean power panel discussion from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1 in the Varsity Theatre on the Brigham Young University campus.

With anemometers going up in Spanish Fork to test the viability of wind power, Utah could soon be seeing some home-grown wind power. As the fastest-growing energy source in the nation, wind power is becoming increasingly cost-competitive with fossil fuel sources.

Throughout the semester, EcoResponse, in collaboration with Utah Clean Energy, has been hosting presentations, movies and other events geared toward informing the BYU community about the importance of renewable energy.

For information, contact Katie Jackson with Utah Clean Energy at (801) 361-3315, katiejackson84@yahoo.com.
