Orpheus Winds to present BYU faculty recital Oct. 20

Orpheus Winds, featuring Brigham Young University School of Music faculty artists, will perform Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.

Admission is free and the public is welcome.

The quintet includes April Clayton on flute, Geralyn Giovannetti on oboe, Jaren Hinckley on clarinet, Laurence Lowe on French horn and Christian Smith on bassoon.

The group will perform the Quintet in B-flat Major by Franz Danzi, “Sechs Bagatellen” by György Ligeti and the Quintet for Winds, no. 3 by David Maslanka.

The quintet, originally known as the Faculty Wind Quintet, has been performing for more than 40 years and has featured a long list of BYU faculty artists.
