OPAC lecture Jan. 10 to consider Abraham Lincoln and the Restoration

January's OPAC brown bag guest speaker will be Ron L Andersen, author of "Abraham Lincoln—God’s Humble Instrument," Thursday, Jan. 10, at noon in 3220 WSC. His topic will be "Abraham Lincoln and the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ." All campus office professionals are invited to attend.

Andersen, who is writing his second book on the remarkable religious and political similarities between Abraham Lincoln and Joseph Smith, is the founder and president of the Lincoln Leadership Society and is a regular speaker at BYU Education Week. He currently serves on the Young Men General Board.

BYU study finds the real reasons why some people choose not to use artificial intelligence

In a recent study, BYU professors Jacob Steffen and Taylor Wells explored why some people are still reluctant to use GenAI tools. While some people might worry about an AI apocalypse, Steffen and Wells found that most non-users are more concerned with issues like trusting the results, missing the human touch or feeling unsure if GenAI is ethical to use.
