October meetings will explain changes in DMBA health, thrift plans

Important changes to the DMBA medical/dental plans as well as to the thrift plan (withdrawals, matching contributions, before-tax contribution limits, etc.) will take effect Jan. 1, 2004. Please consider attending a meeting to learn how the changes will affect you.

Meetings will be held in the Varsity Theater, Conference Center or 3228 WSC beginning Oct. 1 and continuing through Oct. 30. You will find the meeting schedule at: http://www.byu.edu/hr/benefits/news.html.

Each meeting will last approximately one hour and will include a presentation by DMBA representatives.

Please remember that all changes to your medical/dental plan must be finalized by midnight on Nov. 14. The deadline to enroll in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for 2004 is midnight on Friday, Dec. 5; no exceptions will be made this year to the deadline. Enrollment in an FSA plan is not automatic, even if you have been participating during the current year.
