Nigerian ambassador to the U.S. plans Oct. 20 BYU address

The Brigham Young University David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies will host a lecture presented by His Excellency George Achulike Obiozor, Nigerian ambassador to the United States, Friday, Oct. 20, at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.

Admission is free and the public is welcome.

As part of the center’s Ambassadorial Insights lecture series, Obiozor will discuss “Nigeria-U.S. Relations.”

Obiozor received the ambassadorial appointment to the United States in 2004. He previously served as the ambassador to Israel and as high commissioner to Cyprus. Obiozor also worked as the director-general of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs and as a special assistant to the Nigerian president on international affairs.
