"New Zealand's Social Policy" topic of BYU lecture July 13

Brigham Young University will host a special guest speaker from New Zealand as part of the Global Focus Lecture Series Wednesday, July 13, at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.

Bruce Logan, director of the Maxim Institute, will discuss “New Zealand’s Social Policy.”

The lecture, sponsored by the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies, is free and open to the public.

The Maxim Institute, formerly known as the New Zealand Education Development Foundation, is a research and policy institution located in Auckland and Christchurch. The institute believes in a society of free and responsible individuals, rooted in strong families and a vibrant civil society.

Logan writes regularly for newspapers, magazines, and journals on political and educational issues. He has also published books regarding the same topics.

He is a former secondary school principal with teaching experience in many countries. He received his degrees from Auckland and Queensland Universities.
