The Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum at Brigham Young University is bringing back the popular Nature Photography Competition and Exhibition. The competition seeks to recognize the best of nature photography and put those prized works on display for all to enjoy.
Enter the Competition
Amateur and professional photographers are invited to participate.
Entries must be received by Saturday, February 21. Requirements and entry details can be found at mlbean.byu.edu or see the PDF of entry form.
Categories for the exhibition include: landscape, nature, water, man and nature, animal wildlife and bird wildlife.
Cash awards are presented in each of the categories as well as overall awards including Best of Show, Museum’s Choice Purchase Award, Allen’s Camera Excellence Award and People’s Choice Award.

The public and the campus community is invited to see the photographs submitted to the competition at the Bean Life Science Museum from February 26 through April 3. The museum is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is always free.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday, February 26, at 7 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Bean Life Science Museum. Refreshments will be served and the public is welcome to attend.
About the Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum
Located on the campus of Brigham Young University at 645 East 1430 North in Provo, UT, the Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum has a collection of 2.8 million specimens, the oldest dating back to 1900, carefully maintained and made available to research scientists and educators, with exhibits and educational programs for the public. The museum is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thanks to an endowment started by a generous donation by Monte L. and Birdie Bean, the museum originally opened in March 1978, and admission is always free. mlbean.byu.edu
