Nancy Wentworth to deliver BYU devotional address Nov. 27

Nancy Wentworth, chair of the Department of Teacher Education at the David O. McKay School of Education, will speak Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center for a Brigham Young University campus devotional.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byutv.org. Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu.

Wentworth was appointed to chair in 2010 while she was serving as an associate dean at the McKay School of Education. Previously she had taught in public and private school until she became a full-time employee in the McKay School of Education in 1993.

Her research focuses on integrating technology into mathematics and teacher education. While working at BYU, Wentworth has received several grants to fund research in using technology to enhance learning.

Wentworth received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 1971. She also earned a master’s of education degree in 1973 and a doctorate in educational studies in 1993 at the same university.
