Museum of Peoples, Cultures hosts date night Nov. 11

Brigham Young University’s Museum of Peoples and Cultures is hosting a “Culture-Me-Mine” date night Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. The museum is located on 100 E. 700 N. in Provo.

The date night will be run by a group of BYU Recreation Management and Youth Leadership students.

This is the museum’s second Culture-Me-Mine featuring its newest exhibition, “Entwined: A Vibrant Heritage of the Modern Maya.” A brief tour of this exhibition, as well as the museum’s other exhibition,“Beneath Your Feet: Discovering the Archaeology of Utah Valley,” will start off the night.  Following the tours will be a game of “Couples Feud” and a scavenger hunt. Couples will then have the opportunity to paint gourds which they will keep.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Tickets for “Culture-Me-Mine” are $10 a couple and will be available for purchase at the WSC information desk beginning Monday, Nov. 7.  For more information, visit mpc.byu.edu, or contact the museum at 801.422.0020 or mpc@byu.edu
