The Museum of Peoples and Cultures at Brigham Young University has returned to its fall schedule and will remain open on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 7 p.m.
“The museum is used by many different groups such as BYU classes and local scout troops,” said Erika Riggs, promotions manager. “By keeping the museum open later, we are able to better accommodate our visitors’ schedules.”
In addition to date nights and community events, the museum provides evening activities such as family home evening held every second and fourth Monday. Both student and family groups are welcome and all events are free.
For more information or to reserve a spot for a family home evening group, call (801) 422-0020.
The Museum of Peoples and Cultures is located at 700 N. 100 E. in Provo. Current exhibits are “Touching the Past: Traditions of Casas Grandes” and “Kachinas of the Southwest: Dances, Dolls and Rain.” The museum is open to visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
