Michelle Marchant, an associate professor in the Department of Counseling Psychology and Special Education, will give an address titled "My Life Is a Gift, My Life Has a Plan" at the Brigham Young University campus devotional Tuesday, April 2, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center.

Marchant worked in public schools as a resource teacher serving students with mild and moderate disabilities prior to receiving her doctorate from Utah State University. Marchant was appointed director of the BYU special education undergraduate program in 2009.
Her primary research involves the prevention of emotional and behavioral disorders and teacher education strategies. Marchant was selected as one of 15 national trainers for Vanderbilt University’s IDEA and Research for Inclusive Settings Center in 2008.
