MEDIA ALERT: Nobel Prize-winner Derek Walcott at BYU reading series March 18

Derek Walcott, author of more than 20 collections of poems and plays and winner of the 1992 Nobel Prize for Literature, will read from his works at noon on Friday, March 18, in the Harold B. Lee Library auditorium as part of the reading series sponsored by the Brigham Young University Department of English.

A short reception with light refreshments will follow. The public is welcome.

A professor of the Boston University English Department, Walcott blends his writing in English, Caribbean and African traditions.

A previous press release listed his visit as April 8, but his appearance on campus was rescheduled.
