Librarian Scott Duvall to present BYU devotional address June 22

Scott Duvall, a European history and studies librarian in the Harold B. Lee Library, will speak at a campus devotional Tuesday, June 22, at 11:05 a.m. in the Joseph Smith Building auditorium due to construction in the Harris Fine Arts Center.

Overflow seating will be available in W-111 Ezra Taft Benson Building, the Varsity Theater and 2084 Jesse Knight Humanities Building.

The devotional will be broadcast live on KBYU-TV (Channel 11), KBYU-FM (89.1), on the BYU-Television and BYU-Radio satellite networks and on byubroadcasting.org.

It will be rebroadcast Sunday, June 27, on BYU-Radio at 6 a.m. and 4 p.m., on KBYU-TV at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m., on BYU-Television at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on KBYU-FM at 8 p.m.

Duvall began his professional career at BYU in 1975 as assistant curator of Special Collections in the Lee Library and has also worked as chair of the Department of Special Collections at BYU.

Since 1997, Duvall has worked as an assistant university librarian and assistant director of the Harold B. Lee Library.

Duvall specializes in medieval manuscripts, history of printing: the European book, history of printing: the fine press, the history of France, literature and publishing of the Victorian period and history of children's literature.

Duvall earned a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees from BYU.
