Lee Library offers free software classes throughout semester

The Brigham Young University Multimedia Lab at the Harold B. Lee Library is offering free software classes throughout the semester available on lab computers.

The Multimedia Lab classes include Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, GarageBand, Excel and Premiere. The classes are tailored for students, faculty, the general public and patrons of the Family History Library.

Through these classes, patrons can gain skills in desktop publishing, graphic design, image manipulation, video editing, finances, statistics, DVD creation and electronic thesis and dissertation. No prior knowledge of the software is needed to begin the classes.

To see a complete list of class dates and times and to register for the classes, visit mmlab.lib.byu.edu. The Multimedia Lab is located in Information Commons room 3330 of the Harold B. Lee Library.

Green-thumb dynasty: BYU landscaping wins fifth national championship in six years

For the fifth time in six years, BYU students dug, pruned and planted their way to the National Collegiate Landscaping Competition title, the March Madness of college landscaping teams. BYU bested 50 other universities in the four-day event, outscoring the second-place finisher by more than 358 points and breaking the 5000-point total for the first time in the 48-year history of the tournament.
