LDS Church history sites topic of Travel Study lecture Feb. 13

A Brigham Young University religion professor will speak about various historical sites of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Friday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. in the BYU Conference Center auditorium.

Craig Manscill, an associate professor of religion, will lecture on original research as well as interesting stories and insights about LDS Church history sites from Boston to Winter Quarters, Neb. Manscill will also show pictures of some of the sites.

The lecture, the fourth in BYU Travel Studies’ Travel Lecture series, is free and the public is invited to attend.

Manscill has been a religious educator for more than 25 years and specializes in 19th century Church history, the Doctrine and Covenants and presidents of the Church.

He received his undergraduate degree at Weber State College and his master’s and doctoral degrees from BYU.
