KSL News anchor to speak to BYU group

Bruce Lindsay, a Brigham Young University alumnus and anchor of the KSL Eyewitness News, will speak Thursday (March 31) at 8:30 p.m. in 270 Brimhall Building on the BYU campus.

A veteran broadcaster with more than 25 years experience, Lindsay has received numerous journalistic awards including an Emmy Award and an Iris Award. Lindsay's lecture is sponsored by the BYU chapter of the Radio Television News Director's Association. The public is welcome to attend.

Since 1994, Lindsay has led KSL's coverage of Olympic-related issues. He has also used his skills to anchor live coverage of elections, political conventions, debates, parades, and other events.

Lindsay has worked in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City and has reported from countries across the globe. His credits include reporter, producer, news manager, and anchor. His Emmy Award came in 1980 for live coverage of the Democratic National Convention in New York City.

A native of the Salt Lake Valley, Lindsay received a communications degree from BYU, where he graduated magna cum laude. He also received an MBA degree from the University of Utah.

Lindsay is married to the former Shari Anderson of Salt Lake City. They are the parents of two sons and four daughters.

BYU’s space ace: Minor planet named in honor of Jani Radebaugh

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
