Korean Constitutional Court lecture topic at BYU Jan. 21

Jinhan Kim, a research judge from the Constitutional Court of South Korea, will be speaking Friday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. in 303 J. Reuben Clark Building at Brigham Young University.

Kim will be speaking about “Understanding the Korean Constitutional Court.” His presentation will cover the history, structure, procedure, and current struggles of the Constitutional Court of Korea. The lecture is hosted by the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies and cosponsored by the International Law Student Association.

Kim is at the Federal Judicial Center for six months studying U.S. Supreme Court procedures, particularly the writ of certiorari and the power of judicial discretion exercised by the Supreme Court.
