Kennedy Center to host lectures on Colombia and Foreign Service July 26

Josiah Pierce, vice-consul at the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia, will present two lectures on Wednesday, July 26, in 238 Herald R. Clark Building on the Brigham Young University campus.

"Colombia: Desperation and Immigration," a Global Awareness lecture, will begin at noon.

At 3 p.m., he and his wife, Trisha, will discuss "Insights to a Career in the Foreign Service."

Prior to joining the U.S. Foreign Service, Pierce was an attorney in Boston. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from BYU and a juris doctorate from the Northeastern University School of Law.
