KBYU-TV to Host Utah Gubernatorial Debate

To provide voters throughout the state with insight into the positions and platforms of the two major candidates for Utah State governor, KBYU Television will host a debate between Scott Matheson Jr. and Jon Huntsman Jr. on Monday, Oct. 4, at 9 p.m. The debate will also be carried on KBYU-FM that same night at 7 p.m.

The debate is sponsored by the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce and Al Manzi, chairman of the chamber's board of directors, will serve as moderator. Manzi is also the publisher of the Daily Herald in Provo. Questions are being solicited from the Chamber of Commerce members and from the community at large.

In addition to this debate, KBYU-TV and FM will host a series of debates between congressional candidates the week of Oct. 25-29. Additional information on these debates and other election resources is available at www.kbyutv.org.
