Julie B. Beck, general president of the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will speak Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center for a Brigham Young University campus devotional.
It will be broadcast live on KBYU-TV (Channel 11), BYU-Television, KBYU-FM (89.1), BYU-Radio and byubroadcasting.org, as well as on campus in the Joseph Smith Building auditorium and the Varsity Theater in the Wilkinson Student Center. Sister Beck is the 15th general president of the Relief Society and began her service on March 31, 2007. She has held many positions within the Church, including first counselor in the Young Women general presidency from 2002-2007 and service with her husband in a branch at the Missionary Training Center.
Sister Beck received an associate’s degree from Dixie College in 1974 and a bachelor’s degree in family science from BYU in 1981.
