Jordanian ambassador at BYU lecture series Oct. 9

His Excellency Karim Tawfiq Kawar, ambassador to the United States the Kingdom of Jordan, will speak at Brigham Young University Wednesday (Oct. 9) at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.

He will speak as part of the International Forum Series, sponsored by the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies.

The series affords members of the Brigham Young University community the unique opportunity to hear distinguished scholars and dignitaries speak on current topics of international consequence, including Ambassador Kawar's topic of Jordanian-U.S. relations.

Ambassador Kawar was appointed to his high office by His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein on July 8, 2002, after having served on government councils and task forces from the Investment Council to the English Education Task Force. He graduated from Boston College in 1987 with a B.S. in management, finance and computer science and established his first company at the age of 20.
