Jeffrey Ringer to present BYU devotional address May 25

Jeffrey Ringer, director of Brigham Young University’s David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies, will be the campus devotional speaker Tuesday, May 25, at 11:05 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byub.org. Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu.

Ringer has been serving as director of the David M. Kennedy Center since 2002. As director, Ringer is responsible for the planning, management and administration of the center, which serves a central role in hosting, promoting, fostering and supporting international study, scholarship, dialogue, exchange and outreach at the university.

He previously served as the center's associate director since 1992. Prior to working at the center, he was a visiting instructor of political science at BYU.

Ringer is a product of BYU, receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the university. He then continued his studies at the University of Colorado. He continues to teach courses in United States foreign policy and Asian politics. He also conducts research in the area of U.S./Asia relations.
