Jeffery Thompson to present BYU devotional address June 1

Associate professor Jeffery Thompson from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management will be the speaker at the weekly devotional Tuesday, June 1, at 11:05 a.m.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byub.org. Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu.

Thompson, who teaches courses on public management and organizational behavior, has been a member of the BYU faculty since 2003. Previous to this appointment, he taught at Miami University for four years. In 2007, Thompson was named the Teacher of the Year by BYU's Romney Institute of Public Management. In 2009, he received the Outstanding Scholarship Award from the Marriott School.

He conducts research in employee’s expressions of personal values through their work, ideology-based psychological contracts, meaningful work and organizational ethics.
