Jaren Hinckley and Will Kimball present BYU faculty recital Jan. 25

Faculty members Jaren Hinckley and Will Kimball will present a joint recital on their respective instruments, clarinet and trombone, with faculty pianist Jayne Galloway on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall at Brigham Young University.

The concert will begin with “Jorepi” by William Presser, and move on to a set of ragtime songs written by Scott Joplin and Jaren Hinckley. The first half will close with a set of songs called “Florida Tableau,” which will feature “The March of Progress,” “Pastorale” and “The Eternal Sea.”

After intermission, Hinckley and Kimball will present a few more numbers, including an original work by Hinckley.
