"Italy as a Global Brand" topic for BYU Kennedy Center lecture Oct. 27

Robert Viscusi, Broeklundian Professor in the Department of English and executive officer of the Ethyle R. Wolfe Institute for the Humanities at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, will be speaking at Brigham Young University Thursday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.

His topic will be “Italy as a Global Brand.” The public is welcome to attend.

Viscusi has directed the institute since 1982, with responsibilities for the organization and presentation of nearly 2,000 lectures, conferences, colloquia and faculty study groups. He has been a fellow of the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Calandra Institute for Italian American Studies.

Having lectured widely in colleges and universities across the U.S. and Italy, Viscusi is president of the Italian American Writers Association. His most recent publications include” Buried Caesars, and Other Secrets of Italian American Writing” and “A New Geography of Time."
