Harry Potter display a winner for BYU Bookstore

The BYU Bookstore recently won the 11th Annual Dynamic Displays Contest in the Holiday/Event Category for its Harry Potter Seventh Book Release Party window display. The Annual Dynamic Displays Contest is promoted by College Store Magazine and recognizes outstanding work in college store display windows.

Each year, the College Store Magazine requests submissions for its contest and all stores who are members of the National Association of College Stores are eligible to participate. After all submissions are entered, the College Store Magazine staff chooses finalists and then releases them for voting by all NACS members. Of the hundreds of submissions, the BYU Bookstore was chosen for its window display of the Harry Potter Seventh Book Release Party.

Alex Morales, BYU Bookstore Creative Services display designer, headed the Bookstore project under the direction of Rowdy Symons, BYU Bookstore Creative Services department manager. What ensued was the creation of an award-winning Harry Potter window display complete with pensieve, potion bottles and home-made spell books.
