The striking colors and shapes of modern art will provide the inspiration for this year’s Family Art Days celebration at the BYU Museum of Art Wednesday and Thursday, June 21-22.
Activities such as caricature drawing, dancing and abstract face painting will center on the theme “Crazy for Color.” Participants will also examine the use of color in one of the museum’s current exhibits, “Tapestries: The Great 20th Century Modernists.”
The museum has hosted Family Art Days for ten years to kick off the summer season with fun, culturally enriching activities for children. The activities are designed to allow children to become hands-on participants in the artistic process.
Admission to the celebration will be free and the public is welcome.
