The Great Basin Street Band is the most acclaimed jazz band in Utah. They play at all the local and regional jazz and arts festivals in Utah. They have played twice at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy. The band includes some of the most in-demand jazz musicians in the area.

"I have invited the Great Basin Street Band to share our concert so that our students can experience 'sitting in' with a really great professional band. The program will include a lot of interaction between the professional and student musicians," Call said.

Members of the Great Basin Street Band include Jerry Floor, clarinet; Reed LeCheminant, trumpet; Shannon Roberts, trombone; Keven Johansen, banjo and guitar; Bob Bailey, piano; and Jan Hyde, drums.
