Graphic Design of Milton Glaser on display at BYU Museum of Art

The Brigham Young University Museum of Art is hosting a new exhibit, "Just Enough is More: The Graphic Design of Milton Glaser," in the Marian Adelaide Morris Cannon Gallery beginning Friday, June 30.

The exhibit, which contains approximately 100 works, will include original drawings, sketchbooks, paintings, lithographs and mass-produced posters of Glaser's iconic creations. Viewers will get an intimate look at the artist's design process by exploring the evolution of his designs as well as examining the way he uses conceptual elements in his creations.

"Being a child of modernism, I have heard this mantra all my life: Less is more," Glaser said. "One morning upon awakening I realized that it was total nonsense, it is an absurd proposition and [is] also fairly meaningless. I have an alternative to the proposition that I believe is more appropriate: 'Just enough is more.'"

The exhibit will be on display in the museum until Oct. 30.

BYU research: Mega wildfires can actually be a good thing

November 04, 2025
BYU professor Sam St. Clair is the principal investigator on the first study to show positive impacts of megafires (fires greater than 100,000 acres) across different forest types. Megafires can help some forest communities thrive — especially in areas where chronic browsing by elk, deer, and livestock has hindered tree regeneration, a widespread issue that often leads to forest regeneration failure.
