Graduate will tout international studies degree at BYU lecture June 8

Spencer R. Edgin, a graduate of the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies at Brigham Young University, will discuss “What Can You Do with a David M. Kennedy Center Degree?” Wednesday, June 8, at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.

Edgin will join General Electric’s Experienced Commercial Leadership Program in July, recently ranked number one in the world by Business Week for rotational programs for MBA graduates.

Between his undergraduate and MBA degrees, Edgin worked as an independent insurance agent for a start-up property and casualty insurance brokerage in Dallas, Texas. He also worked as an operations manager for Universal Forest Products, an international lumber company; field marketing coordinator with Black and Decker in the sales and marketing development program; and with Yellow Book USA as a media consultant in Salt Lake City helping local, small- and medium-size businesses generate leads.

Edgin received a bachelor’s degree in international studies and a minor in Latin American studies from BYU and an MBA from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.

This lecture will be archived at kennedy.byu.edu/archive. For more information, contact Lee Simons at (801) 422-2652 or lee_simons@byu.edu.
