Free resume critique, networking advice available Sept. 28 and Oct. 1

Advisers from Brigham Young University Career Placement Services will offer free resume critiques and networking advice Friday, Sept. 28, and Monday, Oct. 1, for students preparing for the Fall 2007 Career and Internship Fair.

The advisers will help students on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday in 2410 Wilkinson Student Center. Advisers will be available at the same location Monday from 9 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.Students are asked to bring hard copy resumes.

Placement advisors are also available throughout the school year for scheduled appointments to discuss job-search methods and tools, including resumes, letters, interviewing, professional networking, career research and help with the eRecruiting career database. For appointments, call (801) 422-3000. The career fair will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the WSC Ballroom, Garden Court and East Lounge. More than 170 employers have registered and thousands of students and alumni are expected to attend.
