Jordan Tanner, a retired Foreign Service Officer and former Utah State Representative in the Utah House of Representatives, will discuss foreign service careers Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. in B-092 Joseph Fielding Smith Building.
Tanner will explain what the U.S. Foreign Service does, what majors prepare students to serve and also what careers are available with the Foreign Service, which include the Department of State, Foreign Commercial Service, Agency for International Development, and FBI or CIA.
Two BYU students who have taken the Foreign Service exams will discuss content and offer advice about both the written and oral exams.
This workshop is sponsored by the Foreign Service Student Organization and the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies. For more information, visit kennedy.byu.edu/student/fsso.
