"Fog and Friction" war documentary airs on KBYU-TV April 13

Sponsored by BYU's David M. Kennedy Center

"Fog and Friction," a combat documentary film series produced for the David M. Kennedy Center at Brigham Young University will be aired Wednesday, April 13, at 9 p.m. on KBYU-TV (Channel 11 in most areas).

This episode produced by Combat Films and Research is the third episode of "Beyond the Border," a documentary series that examines the events, trends and stories of war-time decisions from around the world with an emphasis on international relations.

"In the complex realm of international affairs, there are untold stories that can help us gain a greater understanding of our world," said Jeff Ringer, Kennedy Center director and creator of the program concept. "Through this series, we hope to provide an alternative perspective on forces, ideas and facts that are beyond the border of our common experience."

"Fog and Friction" is a glimpse into the decision-making processes at the height of battle, the consequences of those decisions and according to military scientists, what is being done to overcome uncertainty on the battlefield.
