Flutist Richard Soule to present BYU recital Oct. 23

Guest artist Richard Soule from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas will perform a flute recital Saturday, Oct. 23, at 5:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Soule will play the flute while Hui-li Chih will play the piano.

The two will play pieces by Maurice Ravel, Henri Busser and Paul Hindemith. Soule and Chih arranged the pieces they will play by Ravel.

Soule is currently the principal flutist in the Las Vegas Philharmonic and a professor of flute at UNLV.

He has performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the United States Naval Academy Band.

He graduated from Boston University and the Peabody Conservatory.
