The Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology at Brigham Young University’s Marriott School will be hosting the first Utah Startup Marketplace Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Garden Court.
The kickoff and keynote address will begin at 9 a.m. in the WSC Varsity Theater. Ryan Caldwell, CEO of EnticeLabs and a successful entrepreneur, will be the keynote speaker.
The event is designed to bring together BYU students and Utah’s premier startups. Students of all academic disciplines are encouraged to attend.
When they enter the marketplace, students will be handed a list of opportunities with the startup companies, including internships, field studies and full or part-time work opportunities.
Utah has a successful community of startup companies, according to Jeff Brown, program director of technology at the Rollins Center. The purpose of this event is to build awareness about the startup community, inform BYU students about the opportunities that exist at Utah’s startup companies and educate these companies about the talent sourcing opportunities at BYU.
