Undergraduate students will present papers on literature, music, art, film and philosophy during the first "Symposium Humanitatum" on Saturday (March 22) at Brigham Young University.
"We hope students will be intellectually stimulated by what the presenters will read," said Michael Call, a professor of humanities.
The symposium, which will begin at 9 a.m. in 3228 Ernest L. Wilkinson Student Center, is sponsored by the College of Humanities, and the 21 presenters have been selected from 60 submissions. The presenters' papers will be published in upcoming humanities journals.
