Fall DanceSport Championships at BYU Nov. 14-15

Two days of the best in ballroom dance will be featured during the Brigham Young University 2003 DanceSport Championships Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14-15, in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom.

Tickets at $16 for reserved table seating ($30 for both days), $12 for reserved seats ($22 for both days) and $7 for general admission ($12 for both days) are available through the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 378-4322 or at www.byu.edu/hfac. Tickets are also available at the door. Best dress is recommended.

Sessions start at 11 a.m. on Friday with preliminary rounds and run throughout the evening. Saturday competitions begin at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

The competition, sponsored by the National Dance Council of America in cooperation with the Brigham Young University Dance Division, will feature preteen, junior, youth and adult categories in both International and American styles. As one of the largest amateur competitions in the country, the event will be exciting for the competitor and spectator alike.

Special guest artists Giampiero Giannico and Ieva Pauksena, America's representatives to the World Professional Standard Championships and finalists in the U.S. Professional Standard Championships, will perform both nights of the competition.
