Euro crisis and the U.S. subject of BYU lecture May 10

The Brigham Young University David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies will host Antonio de Lecea as he discusses “The Euro Crisis and Beyond: What Does it Mean for the U.S.?” Thursday, May 10, at 3 p.m. in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.

Antonio de Lecea has been serving as the principal advisor for economic and financial affairs at the European Union Delegation to the United States since October 2009.

Prior to joining the delegation, de Lecea served as the director for International Affairs in the European Commission’s Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs, steering analytical and policy support for the Commission's economic relations with non-EU countries and multilateral and regional economic institutions.

He earned a doctorate in quantitative economics from the Catholic University of Louvain and a bachelor's degree in economics from the Barcelona Autonomous University.
