Erin Maughan to deliver BYU devotional address Aug. 4

Erin Maughan, an assistant professor at Brigham Young University’s College of Nursing, will present a devotional address Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 11:05 a.m. in the Joseph Smith Building Auditorium titled “Be Still and Know God.”

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels. Please visit byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu for rebroadcast and archive information.

Maughan is a native of New Hampshire and received her bachelor’s degree from BYU in 1994. She then received her master’s degree and doctorate from the University of Utah. Maughan started teaching at BYU in 2003 and has recently been appointed as the International Coordinator for the College of Nursing at BYU. She also serves on the Utah County Board of Health and as a consultant to the Utah Department of Health.

Maughan received an award for her continued support of the Utah School Nurses Association in 2009 and was also named to the list of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” in 2003.
