Engineering professor Jordan Cox to present Jan. 17 BYU devotional

Jordan Cox, associate professor of mechanical engineering at Brigham Young University, will speak Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center for a campus devotional.

Cox will share several examples of spiritual gems that can be found in life, and will identify how those gems can help capture one’s heart and mind.

Live broadcasts are available on KBYU-TV (Channel 11), BYU-Television, KBYU-FM (89.1), BYU-Radio and byubroadcasting.org, as well as on campus in the Joseph Smith Building auditorium and the Varsity Theater in the Wilkinson Student Center. Cox earned his doctorate in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from BYU. He served as associate dean of undergraduate programs for the College of Engineering and Technology from 1997 to 2003, and was assistant to the academic vice president in charge of technology and planning for academic programs from 2003 to 2004.

He has worked as an efficiency expert and consulted with many engineering companies, and serves as a member of the technical advisory committee for Pratt and Whitney.
