Emily Gibbons Castleton to present faculty voice recital Feb. 1

Emily Gibbons Castleton from Brigham Young University’s School of Music, will present a faculty voice recital, Saturday, Feb. 1, at 3:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall. Admission is free

Accompanied by Ben Walley, piano, Castleton will perform selections from Carl Maria von Weber, Clara Shumann, Robert Alexander Schumann, Giovanni Battista Bononcini, Aaron Copland and others.

Gibbons is a graduate student in the School of Music and a member of the voice faculty at BYU.

BYU study finds the real reasons why some people choose not to use artificial intelligence

In a recent study, BYU professors Jacob Steffen and Taylor Wells explored why some people are still reluctant to use GenAI tools. While some people might worry about an AI apocalypse, Steffen and Wells found that most non-users are more concerned with issues like trusting the results, missing the human touch or feeling unsure if GenAI is ethical to use.
