Elder Steven E. Snow featured at Sept. 11 BYU devotional

Elder Steven E. Snow, a member of the Quorum of the Seventy and Church Historian of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will speak Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center for a Brigham Young University campus devotional.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byub.org. Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu.

Elder Snow was called to serve as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy in March 2001 and served as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy from 2007 to 2012. He currently serves as Church Historian and Recorder and is the executive director of the Church History Department.

Prior to his call to serve as a full-time General Authority of the Church, Elder Snow was a senior partner in the Utah law firm of Snow Nuffer, and he has been a member and president of his local school board, chair of the Utah State Board of Regents and chair of the Western States Commission of Higher Education.

Elder Snow has an accounting degree from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University and a juris doctorate from BYU.
